Abstract

The present study deals with the documentation of Opsarius bendelisis larvae habitats in Siang River, Arunachal Pradesh. Larvae of Opsarius bendelisis were identified with the help of molecular tools. The study also highlights the threats facing these functional nursery habitats of fishes in the river. The findings of the study are of paramount significance as identification of larval grounds can help in formulating habitat-based conservation approaches.
